BioThis is a livejournal for writing as/of the chraracter Charlie McGee from Stephen King's Firestarter.

DISCLAIMERS. I do not own Charlie, She belongs to Stephen King. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, or so they say, and I get nothing out of my writing but the enjoyment of writing.
PS: As a note, Firestarter 2: The Rekindled... doesn't exist in my reality... while the actress was delicious, I didn't like the story. Only the book exists. This is a Charlie who has been on her own for over a decade now. The couple that took her in were killed when the Shop finally found proof that they were hiding her. She was 18 and about to take off on her own. Since then she has avoided getting close to anyone, knowing it'll only get them hurt.
She's lonely, she sits in public places and takes pictures of happy families and couples, imagining that it allows her some measure of involvement... its her way of keeping contact with them, its all she can do. She is on the outside.
Yes, she'd be about 28 now, but... Due to an encounter with Loki at a party, where she drunkenly mentioned she wished she was young again, had a chance to try it again in a different way (and hey, added bonus of the Shop not being able to recognize her, as they're looking for a woman rather than a girl)... Loki giggled, kissed her, and the next morning she woke up young again. She has vague memories of the years in between.
But here she is, 18 again, free of the shop for at least a little while, ready to take on the world.
